       There are numerous books and magazines about snakes and other reptiles out there. Many of them have some very nice photos and good info, but sometimes the info is lacking, partially correct, or completely wrong. Your better off making sure your reading something written by a person that actually works with the animals they are writing about. Scientific papers are normally a better resource, but again you have to be careful as there is at least one well-known author of taxonomic papers, whose work is not worth the paper it is printed on, as they are not published in genuine peer-reviewed publications.
